I came across you because I also own an IC9700. Unfortunately, he does not work anymore.
One day I turned it on and he did not receive anything. The error message “Wrong FPGA Firmware Version” appears.
Icom has no solution and wants to swap the motherboard for a lot of money.
The error just occurred. Also a firmware update does not fix the problem.
I do not expect you to have a solution now, but maybe you have good contacts that can help me there.
